I recently had a booboo with my PC and essentially rebuilt parts of it from software backups. I installed over a gig of pc2700 DDR and split the two drives onto two cables and somewhere I went wrong. Anyhow, to make a long story shorter, I have an SBC DSL and when I got back to setting up my email, I get a message from Norton’s when I send and receive as below (actually there are three messages similar to the one below, each with different operations, CreateTextFile, DeleteFile, etc.

Is this normal for OE to request such operations? Not gonna let it run till someone can tell me that this is expected behavior.

    Thanks!

File is not very helpful. If you display the task list at that point and look at the applications and processes, can you find any script files running? Typical extensions, as you may know, include VBS, WSF, JS, and so forth.

Thanks Jefferson, I deleted the account and reinstalled it and everything seems to be working fine now. I wish I had thought of checking the task list when I got the message!

Norton Antivirus 2003 doesn’t seem to like MSI Installer scripts, either!
