    Hi,

My Macro security settings are set to low.
    – also for Normal.dot and rest of custom templates.

Still I get that macros can’t run due to macro security settings.

Some setting must have been “corrupted” in the registry.

Would anyone know a possible solution to this – or what registry key to modify??

(I’ve already tried to delete normal.dot and others multiple times)

    Bests,

Microsoft enables companies to push out Policy settings that embed into your Registry and block certain behaviors considered undersirable to those who administer IT. These are most likely to be found under the SoftwarePolicyMicrosoft keys, if you see any of those in your Registry. Most are obvious from a quick glance, but to get the specific details on those settings, you would want to download the part of the Office Resource Kit relating to policy editing and, in particular, the administrative templates (.ADM files) that lay out the options displayed by the Policy Editor.

By the way, assuming you find the registry entries that Jefferson mentioned, you should set your macro security level to at least medium. It’s always a good idea to have an extra layer of protection when you open documents.
