Help Needed !!. I used the Microsoft MBR2GPT tool to convert my HD from MBR to GPT. The conversion was successful, but I received the following error message:
Call WinRE Repair to repair WinRE
Failed to update ReAgent.XML
Try to manually Disable & Enable WinRE
After I exited the MBR2GPT tool and turned off and then restarted the PC, I went directly into the firmware screen and was able to change it from Legacy BIOS to UEFI, I then saved those changes and restarted the PC. I did not see the splash screen but the PC booted and seems to be functioning ok. However, when I powered off the PC and re-started it again to re-enter the firmware screen, I do not see the normal splash screen … just a black screen … when I continually hit the DEL key (as I normally would to get to the firmware screen) the screen stays black. I tried turning off my monitor screen and then turning it back on again when this black screen appears, and noticed that the message “no HDMI signal found”. So it appears to me that something is preventing my graphics card from powering up properly when I try to enter my firmware settings. I don’t know if clearing the CMOS would fix this problem or cause other issues. I checked and the firmware for my graphics card is up to date. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
