Since I’ve been on video calls during the entire month of November, I haven’t had a chance to actually participate in “No Shave November” over the month (although some meteorologists I work with have had a chance to). So I had to turn to photoshopping the “No Shave November” look on me instead. Here are the results (the template I used also changed up my hair style, my hair isn’t that style either).

What’s funny is after showing it to a few friends, they like the results and think I should try attempting it in real. I’ll be off video calls over the month of December, so I guess I could simply go for “Don’t Shave December” instead. 🙂

Movember is a global awareness and fundraising campaign, benefitting mens’ health:

Movember is a community of rockstars raising money, making a difference in mental health & suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Your donation could help save a father, a brother, a son, a friend, a partner, a man’s life.

      A very worthy cause!

Good points! Since I didn’t get to physically participate over the month, I should probably donate something to financially participate.

“Arkies” (the people I know here in Arkansas), and they usually go for full beards instead of just mustaches (with which our colder weather settling in here, I can see why they’d go for it while also raising money for a good cause!).

When the admins have a moment, feel free to delete this thread. I’m doing a little cleanup work.

Ok, one final post/question before this thread gets deleted: Did you ever get the chance to do a “no shave December” as you mentioned above, or did it not work out? I’ll admit, the photoshopped pic above looks good!

I got to try it a couple of weeks in December, plus from about Jan 1-yesterday. In between I had to ditch it since I’ve had some work projects going on, and it wasn’t grown enough to look right on camera (I would have looked too awkward).

With that said, I did like the look overall if I could have had a longer period to go for it, so once I know I’m off camera again for an extended period of time, I may consider trying it again. If I could get the look in the photoshopped pic, I’d probably keep the look.

I must admit that, with all my self-isolating, I have become rather lax in the matter of shaving every day. For real, not by photoshoping my own portrait (why would I do that?). But I do shave for real even now, if less often, because I don’t like to have to do the additional fiddly job of trimming my beard, or going to a barber to have this done. Shaving is easier and I am all for doing things “easier” on matters of no great importance.
