Used to be, when I put and address or place into Firefox it invoked  Google Maps.  Starting maybe a couple of months ago it stopped.  I want it back.  How do I do that.

Also when I navigate to a new page it scrolls to the bottom.  How do I stop it from doing that?

Probably depends on which search engine you have in FF, although I use Google and searches never load g maps.
It could be a result of legal action against Google to stop them providing their own results first?

No idea about scrolling to the bottom, doesn’t happen for me.

      cheers, Paul

When you say you put a location into Firefox, do you mean pasting (or typing) that into the URL bar?

What happens when you try it now?

When you said it used to invoke Google maps, do you mean it would go to the Google Maps site, or is it a mobile device that has an actual Google Maps app that you want it to go to?

If you have changed the default search engine from Google to something else, like Startpage or Duck Duck Go, that would probably be it.

I have google maps as a bookmark somewhat near my location for general map searches and mostly paste addresses obtained from web pages into it for location info.  My FF is very heavily modified for privacy with lots of about:config changes and I use DuckDuckGo as default search engine.  Clicking a location in a web page can bring up different map services.

DuckDuckGo uses Apple Maps as their default now.  I’d expect bing to pop up a lot if you’re using Windows and Chredge but I don’t use Chredge so IDK. Bing maps do appear in FF occasionally.  Open Street Maps, too.  Google Maps still seems to give the best results.

Google,Bing,Amazon,DuckDuckGo,eBay,Wikipedia are FF’s default search engines.

Yeah, as already suggested, check your search default.  Using my bookmark method guarantees Google Maps but adds a few steps to the process.

I’m afraid the lack of detail doesn’t help folks to try and help you – however, were you to install this Addon:

      Google Maps Search Engine Shortcut

      https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/google-maps-search-shortcut/?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search

. . . . when typing ‘maps’ followed by a ‘space’ into the FF Address Bar, you are then able to search for locations on Google Maps.

I have tested my FF ESR. My default search engine in Google search.
Entering an address into URL runs Google search and brings Google maps.
