My computer boots up to the hard drive as directed in the systems setup. After the boot, an error message comes up “There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into the drive.” A drive letter is not sepecified but a light goes on in the floppy just before this error. It does not matter whether I choose Retry, Cancel. The error message disappears, and all works fine. If I put any disk into the floppy before booting, there is no error message. Anyone have any ideas re: this strange behavior?

This sounds akin to the problem with an unwanted folder opening at startup – see if the suggestions in the thread beginning with post 443,546 help.

I also have a recollection of an entry in your recent Documents list, last saved to the A-drive, causing similar problems – I’ll see if I can locate that thread…

well, I did a simple thing: I was asked for a disk in the drive, so I put a blank disk into the drive. That fixed the problem!!!!
