I think someone in the Lounge recommended me this freebie from Karen’s Power Tools a while ago. Well, I found it a great app for incremental backups.
Now ver. 2.0 was just released. Gotta check it out -> http://www.karenware.com/powertools/ptreplicator.asp%5B/url%5D

Yeah, good idea! I just got her newsletter about it today and it looks like she’s made some fabulous improvements…..

The “Run All Enabled Jobs Now” and the “Save Shortcut to Job(s)” additions already make the upgrade worthwhile.
I’d like to be able to tell Replicator not to run scheduled jobs by default after 15 seconds of being prompted, but I haven’t found the way yet.

Seems like a pending issue for the next release. grin

I don’t use Replicator (not yet anyway), but maybe you could revisit AutoIt to see if you can cook up a way?
Something like a script that runs on the same schedule as your Replicator jobs and looks for the prompt. Then, if the prompt is still there after the 15 seconds, the script could can the job for you.

            Hi Tim,

Yeah, I guess it’s a good chance to put my ‘AutoItting’ to the test. I regret not having done anything beyond that little piece of script, but that’s why it’s always good to have someone remind you of suitable solutions smile

Eh… let me get familiar with it again, it shouldn’t take me more than… twenty? Anyway, I must first make sure that Replicator Ver. 2.0 also runs scheduled jobs by default (haven’t seen it in full action yet, but tomorrow morning I’ll tell ya). If so, yes, I believe it shouldn’t be much of a challenge with AutoIt. A few ‘Sends’ should do. Or, with this new release of Replicator, I can create a shortcut to run all the specified jobs, then create an AutoIt script that launches on startup and promptes me to run the jobs. I think this is the most adequate.

            Thanks, Tim!! cheers
