Begin shameless self promotion:
Next week O’Reilly releases a new book, Word Hacks: Tips and Tools for Taming Your Text. The book is the latest in the very popularHacks series, and includes 100 separate hacks, covering a broad range of Word tasks, aimed at beginner, moderate and expert Word users.
Many of the hacks were written by contributors, including several MVPs from the Lounge . Some of my posts here have included code adapted from or taken directly from the manuscript as it was being written.
You can find the complete Table of Contents, 5 sample hacks, and links to related articles and books at http://www.oreilly.com/catalog/wordhks/%5B/url%5D, and you can also pre-order the book from a choice of different vendors.
The book is not a tutorial or reference, but a collection of tools, meant to guide and inspire you to hack your own solutions for your own unique Word problems. If you do decide to buy the book (thanks!), I encourage and welcome honest reviews, since I know how valuable they are when I shop for books myself.
Thanks, and happy hacking!
