It started with Syberia 2. hairout Now it’s Uru. bouncenburn We faithfully installed both games but when we go to play them, we get “Please login with adminstrator privileges and try again”. I’ve taken the machine into work and we’ve tried sharing the folders, logging on as administrator, using the hidden admin option but nothing works. Yes, the user has administrator privileges. The only thing I can see is that the programs that are under the notmyfault user that was set up on my machine doesn’t include a folder for Uru. Do I need to install this under the user profile? I’m confused. Any other ideas short of backing up 20gb worth of stuff, wiping the hard drive and starting over? Not something I want to do here…. help

I would recommend that you look around the Uru Technical Help & Advice forum. If you can’t find a solution readily, register as a user and post a question there. The moderators and users there are very helpful.

        Hans,

I hesitated to try that, after my ongoing exchange with the Syberia 2 folks, who determined that there was something wrong with my p.c., that I was the only one who ever raised the issue and maybe I should get a new p.c. or upgrade my old Win98 machine. I’ll try your link – hopefully, the Ubisoft people have heard of this before.

Don’t know if this is relevant, but I have run across several programs which must be installed within each user’s account – i.e. if I install the program under my account, User2 and User3 must also install the program under their accounts before they can use it. Most programs don’t require this or they may give you the option “for this user only or for all users” when installing the program.
