New Dell laptop just arrived with Windows 11 22H2

I was not sure if this was actually shipping or not, but I just received a Dell laptop that has Windows 11 22H2, build 22621.521. I thought something was different as it had the new circle animation on boot.

Has anyone else picked up new hardware with Win11 22H2 installed?..

If he “Did it have a day one update screen at the end of oobe” did that it could have caught the recent update.  Or if he signed in with this Microsoft account and he’s a member of the insider program.  Bottom line, it may or may not have shipped like that.

He didn’t say he is an insider, but it did run Windows update.

“I did not, it was a general Windows update check that applied the latest updates. Sill odd that new machines would get this before users”

At this point, I think Builds 22621 and 22622 are Insider Preview/Beta Builds, and not comsumer Builds.

22621 was already RTM’ed (RTM = release to manufacturing) in June 2022 but not yet “RTW’ed” or “GA’ed” (RTW = release to web, GA = general availability)

would not the manufacturers want to be sure the machines they ship will work with the newest ver? We should applaud this, the new machines are now the Beta teasters.
