I’ve seen CCleaner recommended by Loungers, but the last version had some little bugs and a new version was promised soon so I’ve been waiting on that. v. 1.18.099 was made available March 24 with the following additions, for those interested:
    – Added Firefox cookie management and cleaning.
    – Added Opera history cleaning.
    – Updated Opera detection routines.
    – Added support for a custom winapp2.ini file.
    – Altered RAM size detection routine.
    – Fixed shutdown bug in Analyze function.
    – Added cleaning for the following apps:
Ad-Aware SE Professional, Driver Cleaner Pro
    IsoBuster, Macromedia Flash MX 2004
MS Photo Editor, MS Visual Studio 6.0
MS Works 4.0, Office 97, PicoZip
    Symantec Antivirus, Webroot SpySweeper
    – Updated cleaning for the following apps:
    Download Accelerator Plus, eMule
Sun Java, VNCViewer, Windows Log Files
    Windows Media Player, WinZip

Thanks for the update to CCleaner, I use it all the time and find it to be very useful.

And thanks for adding the URL, Tony.

        FYI Maud:
        Make a URL live:
See the Quick Guide or 1-Click TagPanel.[/size]

          BigAl –
Thanks for the directions on how to insert a URL. It’s clearly simple, so the hard part would be my remembering to do so! woops I appreciate the gentle reminders. thankyou (You see I’ve mastered the similar, if less informative, smiley insertion.) smile

No sweat. You’re doin’ OK. I don’t know why I didn’t think to tell you this also, but you should check out Alan Miller’s StarPost here. He came up with the code to make “grabbing” URLs from a web page for Lounge posting a breeze. I made two bookmarks for my Mozilla browser and have been using them ever since (with and without descriptive). Give it a look if you have time.

              Big Al –

Thanks for the further guidance. I’ll go over Alan’s instructions in more detail later, but I just wanted to tell you I checked out your website and those grandsons of yours angel angel are just swimming in cute! (Of course, I’d say something LIKE that anyway, but fortunately yours really ARE that cute!) yep

Well, thank you very much! As I’m sure is true with all grandparents, they’re the apples of mine and Billie’s eyes. There is the ol’ joke that the nice thing about grandkids is that they “go home.” But I’d love to see them much more than I do.

              Hi Maud

I notice you use Mozilla, so like Al says, you’ll need to peruse the thread and pick out the posts specific to the Mozilla browser. In particular, post 439213 from Tony55 and post 443946 from hasse. Buzz if you have any problems. grin

Thanks for the pointers, Alan. Yes, I use Firefox as my main browser. I decided to go with the bookmark, rather than the reg edit to create a context menu item ( baby steps) but I’m impressed with myself just for managing this little thing! Amazing what you can accomplish when you learn to follow directions (I come from a family that thought even reading directions was for Lesser Mortals grin .) And thanks to you for sharing your talent in creating these aids with the rest of us!

Glad it’s working for you Maud.

I use it all the time too, so thanks for the pointer.
