    Hello All,
Wanted to pass along my experience ( nothing to do with W.S. Lounge) “Changing Cases”. I have a 2007 HP Pavilion… albeit heavily modified …After installing HdSentinel I was made aware that my HD’s ( 4 to 6 ) “Temps” (real time on screen display) were creeping up and giving me alerts via HdSentinel…Some high points…

    1. Corsair 650D ..( lots of You Tube Videos). 3 internal cooling fans (2X 200mm + 1X 100mm) with a three speed fan controller, with dust filters.(very quiet )
    2. This model is for ATX or mATX motherboards.
    3. Case has two compartments ..one for wiring, and the large space for all your hardware ( Up to 6 HD’s and 4-5.25″ spaces for CDDVD’s ) With Quick release doors.
    4. Also a top mounted HD docking cradle for 2.5″ or 3.5″

Took a day or so to do the switch without much of a problem …All The HD temps are now stable, and around 85°F to 90°F with CPU temps running about 15°F cooler … ( Lowest fan Speed ) My VGA card is also running cooler as well.. I will continue to test running some more intensive programs.. But at least i can now speed up the fan controller (external 3 position switch) when doing so… Regards Fred

Looks good Fred. And all the HD’s are actually mounted the way they are meant to be. That case must be a monster. If I remember correctly most of the HD’s in the old case were sitting on the bottom of the case. Very nice.

Your cable management looks good. That’s a considerable improvement from previous pictures of your setup.

      Fred,

Too bad you spent all that money on a new case I just saw this in an email and said to myself, self why didn’t Fred think of this. 😆

Yeah, it’s a real cost effective southern redneck solution. LOL

Ya know Jeff Foxworthy or the Larry Cable Guy would be jealous over that one!

This wiring job, aka cable management, is PROBABLY OK for a computer with sufficient airflow, but would fail inspection in a house wiring job. The neatly bundled wires and cables do not allow enough moving air to contact each component (each wire and cable) for adequate heat dissipation. Otherwise, the organization and assembly looks top shelf. I like how that case is setup.

      When I built my PC I used a server case. It’s huge, 22″ H x 18″D x 8″W..

Plenty of space, plenty of bays and Five fans, two of which are in the front in front of the 5 hard drives so they blow directly on the hard drives..
