I have reconfigured a computer and put Win2000 on it. I have gave them access to our network 24 hours a day. They can get to network drives during the day but the night shift cannot hit one of our drives. Access denied.

Does this problem occur for all accounts, or just that specific one? ( I know you can setup ‘times’ at which an account can be used or not, on a domain).

No other accounts are doing this. And we do set restrictions on curtain machine accounts but this one has full access.

Is there a firewall in between the network & troublesome PC?

Yes, but this is the only machine that is doing this. Thanks for your reply.

          Marie,
Does the night shift use a different logon? Does it have the same rights as the day shift? Is the server, client, or both win2k? What service pack level? Are the drives accessed through mappings or network neighborhood?

What is listed in your event logs for that particular computer? Active Directory? Any DNS-type errors listed?
