    Hi!

I have a home network with laptops and a laser printer operating wirelessly that all play together easily. I have a HP Photosmart c5180 All-in-One that won’t stay Online. It is wired to the router.

The fix is to power down the printer, power down the router, power up the router, power up the printer ( with long waits at each step). The router is a Linksys 802.11b, the laptops are running Win 7 or Vista.

Any ideas on what is problem player?

    Many thanks, wizards……………………. jt

Have you tried a different ethernet cable?

Have you tried a different port on the router?

If this just started, what have you changed recently?

The printer may be picking up a new address from the DHCP server on the router. You could try a hard coded address for the printer – that’s what I resorted to using.

      cheers, Paul
