I recently updated my Lenovo Legion Y740 laptop to v2004, since I’ve been using it on a couple of test systems with any problems since it first came out. While not a NEW problem, on this laptop I’m unable to see any of my network clients (servers, other computers or printers). The only thing that shows up is my Gateway. When I manually type in \\clientname, it initially won’t connect, but if I run the Network Troubleshooter (which finds no problems), I can then manually connect, but still can’t see the clients in File Explorer. I have two NAS systems, a laptop, three desktops, and three network printers attached to my LAN. Is there any way to reset the network settings so that I can see the clients again? None of my other systems (also running v2004) have this problem, and work just fine. Any assistance is appreciated!

Be sure you are on a Private Network and that discovery and file & printer sharing are turned on.In Control Panel\System You may need to be in the same Workgroup.
In Control Panel\Programs & Features\Turn Windows features on or off, you may need to turn on SMB-1 to connect to older equipment. There is a security risk here in SMB-1, but it may be necessary to connect.
There is more information here on Microsoft and here on AskWoody.

I do that on an as needed basis, since I sometimes also need to map the clients to other computers in the system and don’t know if it would cause conflicts with being mapped to more than one system. Some of the system services were set to manual, as addressed previously by PKCano, and I think that may have solved my issues.
