I count eleven of them, in the Catalog. KB 4074805, 6, 7 and 8. I don’t yet see them on the KBNew list. Of course there’s no reason to install them ye

AskWoody PlusFebruary 23, 2018 at 9:28 am #169750Don’t install KB4074805 if your running Quickbooks 2018 Pro Desktop. Had to uninstall .NET and reinstall 4.71 to get QB running again.
See this message from Quickbooks at https://community.intuit.com/articles/1460106-quickbooks-desktop-won-t-open-has-stopped-working-or-not-responding.“Microsoft released preview update KB4074805 for .NET Framework which appears to have caused the error “QuickBooks has stopped working” when opening QuickBooks. Intuit and Microsoft are working together to resolve this issue. Sign up below to be updated when there is a resolution. In the meantime you can talk to your IT professional and uninstall the Preview update KB4074805.”

GuestFebruary 23, 2018 at 4:01 pm #169852I have been trying to figure out if the February security and quality rollup KB4074594 for W8.1 contains the fix for the system crashes caused by PIC/APIC dual conflict on some systems. That issue was in the January patches and a separate KB was issued to address the problem. I trying to determine if the February rollup includes the fix in one stop install. If anyone knows, I would appreciate the feedback.

ManagerFebruary 23, 2018 at 4:15 pm #169859To be on the safe side, I would download and install KB4077561.
KB4074594 documentation says it contains the fixes contained in the Jan Preview KB4057401, but the documentation on KB4057401 says that the PIC/APIC is a known issue with that patch. So it is really not clearly stated.KB4074594 probably contains the fix, but …..
