neither screensaver or sleep work on win 10 22H2

I think this hapened relatively recently from what I google. I can set it up several ways and it tends to work once , then not again.

I am new back to 10.

Screen saver –

Settings > Personalization > Lock screen

Scroll down to the bottom > Screen saver settings

Sleep –

Screen timeout settings (just above Screen saver settings)

Manually test sleep and make sure it will work.

Tap Win+X then hover over “shut down or sign out”, then click “sleep”.

Screensaver and sleep need you to stop doing things before they cut in. If your mouse creeps at all they will not activate.
Check all input devices are not sending input.

Steam was the culpritfor both issues. Watched a startup and realized. Shut it off in Task Mgr.  Reboot and works fine.  Thanks all.
