I can log into Windows just fine (obviously).  But if I need to log into some apps, I guess they rely on my Micro0soft account info, and are pulling up out-of-date data, including an e-mail that no longer exists.

I cannot seem to get to the place to simply update the e-mail, login, etc. \

Do I need to set up a new Microsoft account with the new data, and then, I would think, delete the old account?

And where, because slow-witted me cannot seem to find the right path to take for this.

    Help?

Do not make a new account. Fix the existing one.

Exactly where do you see this out of date data?
What apps do you use that need an MS login?

      cheers, Paul

Paul, I had always for years — over ten — had all my Microsoft and mi9scellaneous apps set through one account: [removed].com.  I missed the bill GoDaddy sent, and lost that.  So I set up [removed].net.  I haven’t really used that account yet.  In addition, during one of my rebirths, I linked my GMail to Microsoft as well.  Seemed like a good idea at the time. So when I was installing Office 365, I used the GMail address.

I have yet though, to set up Microsoft Office this last round.  But most of the apps that rely on a Microsoft account are actually seemingly through GMail.

So, some things that I had registered with [removed].com now need a new account.  I thought I could just plug them into my GMail account, But it seems not so.  I have/had always used just the one account for everything (gmail was just personal mail) so (I see it anywhere for games to Office 365

As for the out-of-date data specifically, [removed].com is still floating around in some of my Windows 11 / Microsoft apps settings, and since it is “dead” I get the occasional message that the account is inactive or inaccessible.

If you registered things with an email address you no longer have, it may be difficult to re-register. Have you tried emailing the software companies with proof of purchase?

      cheers, Paul

All the issues are related to Windows 11 and/or internal programs of Windows such as Solitaire.

Does Windows prevent you running those programs or is it just nuisance value?

      I suppose, Paul, nuisance.
