• Need drivers for a TDN Computer

I work as a volunteer for a local thrift store – someone donated a TDN Computer – model M7602. I have been able to reinstall Windows XP but I need drivers for the Sound Card and the Ethernet Card – both of which are integrated into the motherboard. How can I identify the specifications of both cards so I can search the internet for the drivers. I have tried to download the drivers from the internet but the system comes back and says it can not find the drivers. So I need to be able to specify which card I am looking for drivers. I have done a search for TDN Computers and can not find a website where I could possibly download the drivers. Maybe someone else could find the website. Thanks for any help.

Go to this site to download SIW (System Information for Windows) and run it. If you select the “stand alone” version, it does not install into your system, but it will identify almost everything you would ever want to know about what is under the hood of your computer.

You should then be able to search for the appropriate drivers.

Yes, SIW or Everest will help quite a bit.
That company whent out of business a few years back. If your specific & diligent enough in your search
you should’nt have too much difficulty finding drivers.

SIW did not show me the sound card or ethernet card that were not installed with drivers. I have a USB network connection and it showed that but not the other one. Tell me about EVEREST – where can I get that and what does it do?

EVEREST will ID your hardware, and possibly provide links to drivers.
Don’t get your hopes up though. It’s possible that you will still have to do some searching as links in Everest
may become outdated, But definitely worth a try. Not Freeware.

SIW should ID your hardware too; look in the “Hardware” section of SIW.
Look in “motherboard”, then confine your search for drivers related to that specific board make/model.

If sound and Ethernet are built in components of the main board, then your gonna need to confine your search to the make and model of the board for these drivers, unless you have these components as add ons to the main board.[cards]

Another application that I’ve used regular to identify info on individual components is the Astra32 Reporting Assistant. They make a bootable DOS version that can be downloaded as an iso, burned to a CD, and used even on machine without a hard drive or an OS.

      Good luck.

It may be that SIW will show the Motherboard manufacufacturer and a search of this manufacturer will yield results on sound and/or ethernet. I would think ethernet is more important than sound since you can operate without sound, but online work will require the ethernet. Are there expansion capabilities that would allow cards to be installed in the case? Ethernet and sound cards are very inexpensive and if expansion slots and connectors are available this might be a viable alternative.
