While children, young and old, are readying the milk and cookies for Santa in New Zealand and Australia right now (where it is already Christmas Eve),

Quite right – I forgot about the one leading the sleigh!

Rudolph didn’t get a mention in ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.

As a Christmas treat, I enjoyed finding Ella Fitzgerald singing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

        Merry Christmas

Gene Autry’s version of “Rudolph” is the one I remember most fondly. His recording of the song hit No. 1 on the Billboard pop singles chart the week of Christmas 1949 (I was six at the time). His recording sold 2.5 million copies the first year, eventually selling a total of 25 million, and it remained the second best-selling record of all time until the 1980s.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Santa is going to be very good to my 12 year old this year – she’s getting an iPhone.

I held out as long as I could on getting her a smart phone; but the directive came down from on high in no uncertain terms that she was getting a smart phone; so I did my research, and got her an iPhone.

(I think my wife was tired of sharing her iPhone with her daughter!)

I’ll publish my experience in a separate posting – I’ll talk about Parental Control software and other things.

NORAD Santa Tracker allows you to track Santa’s trip around the world:

      https://www.weathernationtv.com/news/track-santa-around-the-world-with-norad/

I’m also posting highlights of the Santa Tracker on my Twitter @theparkernathan.

The company I work for (Earth Networks) powered their weather data last year. I hope we are doing it this year.

Tracking Santa? But isn’t that well taken care of already?

Isn’t he using Google to search for bargains and also to find out who has been good and who has been naughty, to use his cash more effectively and have more for those that have been (presumably) good? Doesn’t he allow third-party cookies? Has he, misguidedly, disabled tracking in all his browsers?

And what about the elves? Don’t they all have smart phones with Internet connection and haven’t they installed the most voluble, get-word-back-to-the-Mothership, apps in them?

And don’t get me started on how Rupert frequents hot spots to get free WiFi connection! (Reindeers don’t use cash or plastic — something to do with having hooves rather than fingers.)

Ex-Windows user (Win. 98, XP, 7); since mid-2017 using also macOS. Presently on Monterey 12.15 & sometimes running also Linux (Mint).

Merry Christmas from the UK. Have a good one everyone, particularly Woody, who’s done so much for us all. Keep up the good work 🙂

Nice to see Santa made it safely back to the North Pole!

Hope you all have a safe Christmas, wherever you are (or had, if you’re already on Boxing Day) 🙂
