    How do you name a range of worksheets? Example Sheets 1,2, and 3 would be called “TheSheets”

      It appears that a Defined Name can only span multiple worksheets and still be useful if the sizes are all the same – at least in 2007, which is all I have access to at the moment. But why would you want to have a name span more than one worksheet?

      Update:
      I was able to define a name as:
      TestName=Sheet1!$A$1:$B$10+Sheet2!$A$1:$B$10+Sheet3!$A$1:$B$10
      and then do a sum on the name in another cell. I suppose that is useful.

      Although this doesn’t address your specific question I found this great tutorial on Range Names
