• Name a shape?

I have a worksheet with some shapes in it that have names assigned (and also macros). I want to do another but don’t remember how I assigned names to those shapes. When I look in my name manager (Excel 2007), I don’t even see those names and they are not shown in the properties of that shape. However, when I select the shapes their names appear in the upper left of the worksheet where the cell address is normally. When I look at the code associated with the shapes, their names are in the code.

So how do I name a new shape so I can take some of the code for other shapes and modify it for this shape?

      Don,

I click on the shape and then type the name directly into the names box at the upper left hand corner.

      Doe this work for you?

Yes, this does work now – it didn’t before, though… I must have done something wrong. Thanks for the fast response.
