I have a user who called the HelpDesk to tell us that this morning, for no apparent reason, she had 600 (Not) Read Receipts in her Inbox. They were from about 60 different people (which ruled out my theory that one SLACK person finally logged in and deleted everything that she’d ever sent), and the Read Receipt sent dates were all today, though the original email sent dates spanned several months, from June – November of 2003 (yes, 2003). She’s deleted them, so there’s only so much sluething that I can do, but I wondered if anyone had any idea why this could have happened. Could have been something on the Exchange Server having to do with her account (since she’s the only person who’s reported this problem), but I’m not familiar enough with Exchange Server. Shouldn’t have been anything on our Mail Filter (SurfControl) since we don’t monitor internal email (and they were all from internal company recipients).
Thanks for the input. – Sat.
