Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |

Yes.
I am in C/Users/Myname/MyDocuments and it won’t open. In fact, a number of folders won’t open. There is one thing I noticed:
In all these folder designations, to the left of the name (in the left pane of File Explorer), there is a tiny picture of a folder with an arrow in the lower left. I’ve uploaded a screenshot
Mel
You are in the Default, not “your name” user.
In Win10/11, “My Documents” is a POINTER to the “Documents” folder. “My Documents is NOT a folder. That’s why there’s an arrow on it, it’s like a shortcut.
It is NOT Windows XP/Vista. The nomenclature is different. “My Documents” in Win10/11 is HIDDEN by default. The actual location of your Data is the “Documents” folder, NOT “My Documents.”
Check the box to “Hide Protected System files and folders”. And forget about “My Documents.”
Yes, I did use my user name: C/Users/Myname/MyDocuments
Not quite. You need C: with backslashes with Documents
See here:
C:\Users\YourName\Documents
Click on “Documents”. Do not click on “My Documents”.
Inside the Documents Folder, you will see something that looks like this:
These are not folders and they will never opoen:
My Music
My Pictures
My Videos
The folders containing your Music, Pictures, and Videos is in the folder shown earlier along with Documents:
Music
Pictures
Videos
My Music is not Music folder.
My Pictures is not Pictures folder.
My Videos is not Videos folder.
The following are junction points:
My Documents
My Music
My Pictures
My Videos
Here is more information on junction points:

Don’t play with them. Don’t delete them. They are part of your Windows system.
While you were typing, so was I. There’s a little more information in my post above.
