Now what have I done? I wanted to send a Fax. I thought MS should be able to do that. I read thru the posts here and made an attempt to get Word 97 to run a fax. Told me MS Fax not installed. Found “awfext.ecf” in the addins for Office 97 but it wouldn’t load. Found “awfax.exe” on my Win98 CD attempted to install it. Screen asked if I had Outlook 97 which I do and it supposedly installed. Apparently it didn’t work right, perhaps because I never had Win95 on this machine. Now Outlook won’t load at all. It crashes and gives me an illegal action message and the details give me:
OUTLOOK executed an invalid instruction in
module at 0000:00000000.

Went to Install/uninstall and there was an entry for fax. Told it to uninstall and it disappeared from the list. But the computer froze. Had to reboot and wait for MS to scan. Outlook still won’t load. Forget the fax how do I get Outlook to run again? I don’t use Outlook very often so if it gets complicated I probably won’t bother. Can I reinstall only Outlook?
It also messed up my OutExp settings but I seem to have been able to correct that.
