Can you save and attach a copy saved in an earlier version or does the example use XL2007 features that will not translate.

      Hi Lounge,

Has anyone got a solution for dealling with graphing data on multiple time scales?

I have 3 different sets of data recorded over time different color for each set…attached.

I am tring to plot the rate colume for each set comparing against the flowtime, but as you will see the sample time steps are takin at different intervals, which is a problem because the chart only wants one X axis.. Any way to make this work over one?

          yes, do anything special?

            Not really.

Highlight data from B/C and create an XY chart (NOT a line chart)
Then select data in E/F, copy to clipboard. Then select chart, edit – paste special and make sure “Categories (x values) in first column” is checked
Then select data in H/I, copy to clipboard. Then select chart, edit – paste special and make sure “Categories (x values) in first column” is checked

Using the XY chart and adding them separately, adds each data set as separate XY datasets instead of using the same X values for all the sets as you would get with a line chart.

[You probably should format the flowback hours to [h]:mm to get the elapsed time since it goes over days (I did this in the chart). Personally I would change your Flowback formulas to take the difference and multiply by 24 to have it in DAYS instead of hours (format as number with 1 or 2 decimals) I prefer 0- 5 days instead of 0 – 120 hours, but this is my preference with such high number of hours…]
