Excel can sort on up to three columns at a time (both interactively and in a macro), so if you want to sort on 9 columns, you have to do it in groups of three, starting with the three least important columns and ending with the three most important ones.
In your example, if you want to sort on A, and within that on B, etc., the steps would be as follows:
      – Select cell A1.
      – Select Data | Sort
      – Select Beech Staff in the first dropdown, Project etc. in the second dropdown and Presenting etc. in the third one.
      – Click OK.
      – Select Data | Sort
      – Select BOC in the first dropdown, Facilities Staff in the second dropdown and FUSD, Other Staff in the third one.
      – Click OK.
      – Select Data | Sort
      – Select Outside Dignitaries in the first dropdown, Media in the second dropdown and FUSD Board etc. in the third one.
      – Click OK.

That was much too easy – I actually thought of that but wasn’t smart enough to try it B4 posting . . . sigh – again.

        Have a great weekend

        Thank you
