I have a note book configured to share cable internet through a broadband router at home. It works fine.

How to configure the notebook when I bring it to a workplace where the LAN is only connected through a hub with no internet connection? I don’t need internet access in the workplace. Can I keep multiple network settings in my notebook?

    System: Win98SE

We have someone using NetSwitcher with reasonably good results.

I am using a notebook in three different network environments. The easiest solution we found was to use dhcp on all sites. I even get internet at all sites
The most interesting thing was that at one place we did not install a dhcp server, and it worked. We found out later that our hardware DSL router had one activated…
At home I am using a PC running Linux as router, dhcpd, and what not…

          Hope this helps…
