I have Word 2010. I want to replace all instances of the phrase ‘Click Next‘ with ‘Click Next or Save‘. I can’t, because Word assumes a single format only (e.g. all normal, all bold).

Does anyone know of a macro or other mechanism for achieving this?

Type in Click Next or Save and format it the way you want the replacement to be. Then copy that text to the clipboard.

Now do a search and replace finding ‘Click Next’ and replace with ‘^c’

This will retain the formatting you put in the clipboard.

That worked perfectly, Andrew. I didn’t know about the ^c option. Many thanks.
