    Hello everyone:

    Error Signature
    App Name: outlook.exe
    Apper Ver 10.0.2627.1
    Mod Name msmapi32.dll
    Mod Ver: 10.0.2625.0
    offset 0001e85d

I did a search on google.groups and found some information pertaining to the msmapi32.dll
it stated that I should find the “fixmapi utility”, which is found in the “system32” folder, and then run the utility. Is there anyone that has found a better solution?

    Regards,

    dillon

Can you explain the context in which you got an error? Is it consistent/repeatable?

        Hello MaryJ;Jesher:

I get this crash when I close outlook; I am using pop/stmp. MaryJ, I double clicked the “fixmapi utility” but I didn’t see anything pop up when I found it in the “system32” folder; I notice something to the bottom left corner almost like the taskbar.

So far I have not found Outlook to be crashing but I don’t know yet. The “fixmapi utility” looks like a little white window with a blue outline; I have never clicked on this type of application before, so I am not sure what to expect.

        Regards,

        Dillon

Locate the dll and rename it. Then run the utility again.

This fix is indicated when you have a version conflict between the dll and Outlook. It usually comes up when you install another mail-enabled program.
