    I have installed Microsoft Security Essentials, and deactivated ZoneAlarm antivirus and anti-spyware. Is there any reason I should not remove Window Defender.

      In fact, you *should* remove Windows Defender – it overlaps with Microsoft Security Essentials.

      The installation of MSE should have removed Windows Defender.
