Please help, this problem is solidifying my brain. W7 OS, with a Canon Pixma ip4700 printer. In MS Publisher I have created a 24 page A5 booklet. I want to print it so page 24 & 1 are on the same side = no problem so far. The on the reverse side of the first sheet of paper pages 2 and 23 (viewed fro left to right). So I tell the printer to print in duplex: the first side comes with the top of the page on the left side of the printer BUT the second side (the reverse) is on the right side! Therefore you have to turn the booklet around by 180 degrees when you turn the page over! Canon tech. support sys it’s a Publisher problem. I could solve this if I could print all of the odd pages first, turn over the paper and then print the even ones – but I can’t find that option.

      Can you try:

listing the odd pages separated by a comma.
It will be tedious – but I’m curious if it will work.

I assume your printer double-sides without having to refeed the paper.

I have Publisher 2007 and in the Print dialog>Publication and Paper Settings tab there is an option labelled 2-sided printing options where you can correct this. The option is ‘Two-sided, flip short side’. Does this not also appear in Publisher 2002?

@ Catharine: please see the screen shot – the options you have shown I do not have!

      We have the same options
I just typed 1,3,5, (etc) in the Pages from portion of the dialog box (and I clipped out only that section of the dialog box in my picture).
Typing odd page numbers in this way is something you can do in Word – I wonder if it is possible in Publisher.

      Good evening

I tried to download a manual from the Canon site to have a look but it just kept stalling. Have you tried opening properties and looking at the options there? We have a biggish Canon at work and in the properties it has an option for booklets which prints in the right order

SGTE, what are your options in the Advanced Print Settings (button in the bottom left of your screen capture)?
