    I currently have Dell Inspiron i5 CPU M 450 @ 2.40GHz Laptop with
4GB RAM, Intel HD Graphics with Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit SP1 so
far I have tried to get the current Win 7 updates. My hard drive is 1 yr old and it is 800GB.
I also have a cloned MS Office Suite 2000.
    E-Set Security Suite 9
    Free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
    IE 11 and Google Chrome

    My questions are:

    1. If I updated to Win 10 would I loose MS Office 2000?
    2. I am wondering if this laptop can even handle WIN 10?

Thank You for any help you can give me.

I have 2 Dell i5 laptops with 4 GB RAM each running Windows 10 and they both fly, probably a little better than when they were both running Windows 7.

As for Office 2000 – yes, it should still work but there are reports of issues with Outlook. It’s not certified as compatible by Microsoft but have a look at this article – A look at running older versions of Microsoft Office on Windows 10 – for more info.

      Hope this helps…

        Glen, good morning.
Being of reduced means, retired, I am still using O2K as my main app, all of it. Daily, I go to Excel and Word, no problem at all. Yes, I am on W-10 and also on a measly laptop, again, no problem. Yesterday, in Word, I printed some calendars. All these options will be available to you.

That reference from Rick is valuable. Have a great day. Jean.
