What happened to the MS-Defcon System Alerts? I don’t see them any more at AskWoody.

I see them using Firefox 127.0.
Do you have an extension on your browser blocking them? Are you blocking AskWoody cookies?

You should also be emailed them when they change.

Suggestions for the MS-DEFCON System page:

The MS-DEFCON level also assumes that you’re using (new) Edge, Firefox, Brave, Opera or Chrome, or any browser other than Internet Explorer. If you use Internet Explorer, you need to be more cautious about installing those massive IE updates.

I don’t think anyone has had Internet Explorer updates for a couple of years now.

Security updates come out on the Second Tuesday (North America-ish time zones) or Second Wednesday (European-ish time zones).

As Patch Tuesday updates are released at 10am PDT, Europe gets them Tuesday evening and only Asia, Australia/NZ etc. get them on Second Wednesday.

Could there be a link on that page to AskWoody Plus Alerts?

        A couple of years ago?
The last IE11 update was on Patch Tuesday in January, 2024. It was KB5034120 for Win8.1 and Win7 (among others).

It was an adblocker blocking the alerts. Odd, because I’ve been using the adblocker for over a year without the alerts being blocked.
