      Have ordinary vista business on desktop and laptop.

      What came with the slew of patches was one labeled important Microsoft SQL server express edition service pack 4.

      Should an ordinary user even think of doing something with this?

      thanks

      @Herb

      The next time we go back to MS-DEFCON 4, go ahead and install it. No rush.

      Woody, how do we know when it’s okay to implement the patches? I was just informed of lots of them (it’s 2-9-2011), and I would like your guidance about when to go ahead and implement these and future ones. Just seeing that they’re iffy or unevaluated does not give me enough guidance. Thanks.

      @Steve

      Wait until I drop the MS-DEFCON rating to 4 or 5, when it’ll be safe to install all of the outstanding patches (with exceptions highlighted vociferously in the post).
