      We use an effective alternative to Instacart.

      • We restrict visits to the grocery store to once a week or less.
      • We have a grocery inventory management system that includes:
        • A Microsoft Word table that lists all of the items that we purchase at the grocery organized by the isle the item is shelved in the store (all dairy together on the list);
        • Printing out a copy of the Table and keeping it in the kitchen;
        • An inventory management system that relies on having at least one unopened bottle, can, box, package, etc. of each the items on the list in the pantry or refrigerator;
        • Checking off an item on the Word table when we remove it from storage/inventory;
        • Double checking the list prior to making a pre-scheduled visit to the market;
        • Folding up the Table and putting it in my pocket before going to the store and using a pen to checkoff items as we put them in the cart;
        • Only purchasing things that are on the Word list when we go to the store (except for maybe a soda and sandwich).

      Thus, a trip to the store once a week or less and no “cartload of items we didn’t actually need.”

      It works for our household but is not suitable for maintaining the inventory of a retail or big box store.

      And yes I was a founding member of the Council of Logistics Management.

        But you still have to go to the store.  I don’t have to and can be in my jammies and place an order 🙂

      I like going to the store – I walk. Gets me out of the house.

      Windows 10 Pro 22H2. Made a full image backup (the first of 2024) then installed KB5033372 before January’s updates arrive this coming Tuesday. No issues whatsoever.

      In Windows Update the Get the latest updates as soon as they’re available switch was already disabled and greyed out due to pre-existing Group Policy settings.

      I also used GP to pre-emptively disable Copilot – this policy wasn’t present prior to installing KB5033372. So, that’s everything taken care of in advance of the upcoming January patches.

        Thank you for letting us know that you, “… used GP (Group Policy) to preemptively disable Copilot ….”

        I am sitting at a workstation running Windows 10:

        • Version – 22H2,
        • Installed on – 2/7/2023,
        • OS build – 19045.3803, and
        • Experience – Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.19053.1000.0.

        I had not noticed the presence of Copilot on the computer prior to seeing it when I opened GP. But there it was.

        Took your advice and disabled it and over the next couple of days will do the same on the other PCs in our fleet.

        As a footnote, we have already uninstalled Edge and Chrome from all of our systems.
