.NET update implementation may prove problematic for many users. It is an unexpected change requiring new procedure.

.NET update instructions may be necessary.

Today (2/8/2023) Windows 10 update overwrote my AMD video drivers and put what they assumed was correct.  The game I was playing crashed and after a lot of frustration, I downloaded the correct drivers and got my system back to normal. Needless to say, I paused further updates.

How do I delete the profile icon in my computer. I assume that uninstalling the latest Windows Update file will do it. That seems a shame to me. Is there any other way?

Is there a PDF program to create and use with existing files that doesn’t require monthly payments?

Please help. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

You can use LibreOffice Writer to create simple PDF documents and LibreOffice Draw to view and edit them.  LibreOffice is totally free for personal use, although they will not refuse some money sent their way.

Account picture? Shouldn’t be affected by an update. Local or Microsoft?

My apologies but it is still unclear to me how to delete the user icon without deleting the latest Windows updates.

Your User icon has nothing to do with an update. It is a picture on your PC.
