    Hi all,
I have created an Org Chart in PowerPoint. My problem is that i cannot move shapes and their connecting lines from where PowerPoint puts them. I have a fair bit of unused space on some areas and in other areas the chart is quite cluttered, which I am trying to rectify. When I drag and drop the shapes, they return to their original position. A look at the Format Auto Shape/Position tab reveals that the position options are greyed out.
Additionally I am having trouble achieving the following structure:
    Supervisor
    |
    Supervisor
    |
    SubOrdinate SubOrdinate SubOrdinate

I am having difficulties getting the two supervisors to appear in line.
    Any ideas? Thanks heaps.

    Bill

With the Organization Chart selected, click on the Layout menu in the Organization Chart toolbar. Make sure that AutoLayout is off. You should then be able to drag elements of the chart around.

Note: the Format | AutoShape dialog applies to the Organization Chart as a whole (i.e. as an object on the slide), not to the individual elements (boxes and connecting lines)

Thanks heaps again Hans. Your knowledge knows no boundries:-)
Have you any idea how to solve my second problem? Basically I am trying to acheive a result there there are two Supervisors in line with the Subordinates branching off from the second in line of the supervisors.
        Any ideas and thanks again.
