    Hi,

I am running Windows 7 Pro. Revo Uninstaller was put on my C: drive in a folder named VS Revo Group. I would like to move it to my external D: drive, and thus keep my C: drive as free as possible for the operating system and its updates. Can I safely go in my C: drive and drag the VS Revo Group folder to my D: drive? Thank you.

Any registry entries that point to the C: drive folder will fail if you simply drag the VS Revo Group to the D: drive

If I were you I’d see if you can reinstall the program (check out if there is an Advanced or Custom Install option) directly onto the D: drive.

Is there a particular reason why you want to keep the C: drive for the OS only?

This will not work. The app would have to be uninstalled on your C Drive, then reinstalled on your D Drive or where ever. Use CCleaner to clean up after uninstalling Revo Uninstaller from the C Drive, or better yet use CCleaner to uninstall Revo.

It might be more appropriate to put the app on a flash drive. Then you can use it on whatever PC you wish. When you go to install the app, just point to a USB Flash drive for the installation. Revo Uninstaller Portable is what you want.

I believe most apps will not work on an Ext storage media unless they are portable versions of the apps. Standard apps need to use parts of the OS to work properly.Flash Drives are excellent removable media to do this with. Heck, even CCleaner has a portable version.

you may do so by reinstalling the program, and just like all the response some programs dont work by this way.
