As a fan of the movies, I thought I’d come up with some questions (all quite easy, so please don’t fire up your favourite search engine…), to keep you occupied for a few minutes…

1 Name the odd one out in each list
    – True Lies, Titanic, Last Action Hero, Terminator 2, The Abyss
    – Braveheart, Silence Of The Lambs, Forrest Gump, Fellowship Of The Ring, Titanic
    – Lion King, Herbie Goes Bananas, Toy Story, Pirates Of The Caribbean, Shrek
    – Sliding Doors, Mickey Blue Eyes, Bridget Jones

      – Ihabod Crane – should that be Ichabod Crane? – Sleepy Hollow
      – Morpheus – Matrix
      – Atticus Finch – To Kill a Mockingbird

5 – I will leave that to Bandido

All good Steve, apart from Moon River- Andy Williams didn’t sing the version in the film (which you got right)…

And I was thinking of a different film & artist for A Groovy Kind Of Love- I don’t know if your answer is correct or not yet… sorry

A Groovy Kind Of Love – Phil Collins in Buster

          • #944203

Yep! Well done guys trophy clapping

That was obviously much too easy! Have to find some more difficult ones… grin

            • #944214

The problem with many of these type puzzles, is that even if you know only about half the answers off the top-of your-head, there are so many sources of online info, that it is “relatively easy” to find the answers without too much work…

This is another one of the puzzle where I “cheated” and looked up some of the answers and even checked some of the others…

              ____________________________________________________________

Yeah, I knew this was eminently cheatable, which is why I ask people NOT to use search engines!

You’re right Leif, maybe cryptice clues would be better- only problem is, I’m no good at cryptic! bummer

            • #944235

Search Engines are just a tool. It is akin to asking us to solve math puzzles without paper and pen or without a calculator: “do this algebra problem in your head”

              Steve

            • #944217

This was a bit too factual – perhaps you should add a bit of brain-teasing crypticness, such as “Continental monarch that turned into a torpedo”.

Lines from films can be fun, but possibly too Google-able, so perhaps: “Who claimed they couldn’t get married because they were not a natural blonde, had been living with a saxaphone player and could never have children? And what was the final line?”

        • #944068

Audrey Hepburn in the film. I thought Andy did it. He is just so associated with this song…

Here is evidence that I was correct even if not the movie you are looking for: [SOUNDTRACK]
