• Move to Win 11?

I have a perfectly good computer that works great. I could upgrade to Windows 11 if I wanted to. However, this computer is completely offline and will remain so.  It currently runs Windows 10, 22h2. Would it be worthwhile to make the jump to Windows 11 or just stick with what I have?

IMO, every Windows “upgrade” after Windows 7 SP2 / Server 2008 R2 has actually been a downgrade — with the rate of crapification accelerating with every release.

I’d definitely stay where you are given your environment is isolated.

If it is offline and does what you want, don’t upgrade.

If there is a chance you will want to use it online at some point, why not make an image backup, upgrade it to 11, make another image backup, then restore the 10 image. Then you are all set for making it more than an offline machine.

      cheers, Paul

Thanks to both of you for the help.  Paul T. Great simple idea.

If you wish to stay with Windows 10 beyond Oct 2025, and concerned about security, you can subscribe to extended support for security updates. Microsoft charge extra fees, but it may still be good option.
