Any way to move the Back, Forward, refresh and Home icons to the right side of the Chrome window? If not all buttons, atleast can the Refresh button be moved?

It seems the Chrome developers do not want users of its browser to be able to make changes like Firefox (FF) users can through extensions, i.e. add-ons.

I looked for something similar to FF’s: Classic Theme Restorer but couldn’t find anything. 🙁

After reading this: Can I change UI using Google Chrome’s API? It may be possible as the last poster there (Kinlan) said, to try to use the Override Pages feature for New tab Page, History and Bookmarks to make the changes you desire or Themes; The changes may already be in the theme.
As I use FF (31) with no Chrome install I was unable to explore override or themes to help you further, if I do happen to come across something I will post back.

In lieu of this, the only work-around that I found for the refresh button would be to tap the F5 key or right click in the browser window and click on Reload.

Sigh…I guess you’re right. I ran hundreds of Google searches but couldn’t seem to find a solution either. Anyways, thanks for your help. 🙂

I’m sure Chrome is a good browser. If it doesn’t look or work the way you want to, why use it when another one will?

Firefox (free) will do exactly what you want and more, and so will Pale Moon (it’s also free), which is based on Firefox and uses the same add-ons.

An advantage to leaving Chrome is that Google won’t be watching you and selling your information anymore.
What? You thought Chrome was free? That’s how the goog makes its money.

I only have a problem with the position of a few buttons in Chrome. Other than that, I love the browser. It’ll be silly to switch to Firefox, just because I’m not happy with how a few buttons are placed.

Not sure on if buttons can be moved or not but for me the last several updates to chrome have significantly slowed down Chrome for me. I still use FF as my primary browser but I like to switch every now and then to Chrome to see what’s new. I’ll stick with FF as the bottom line on browsers.
