Mouse cursor Is thin vertical line in Word

Is there a way to make the cursor more visible — thicker, perhaps, or even an underline?

It is really hard to locate and follow ass a thin vertical line.  I looked I thought through the Settings, but could not find any solution.

I found it:  It’s in the Accessibility settings.  Even better Than thicker!

I assume you found the text cursor indicator? If so that function works throughout Windows and not just in Word.
