A friend had a Pionex Elite Computer System including monitor. The system crashed and he bought a new DELL tower. Kept the 19 inch Pionex Elite monitor. Having problems putting the monitor to sleep. Monitor is listed as “Plug and Play” in Device Manager. I have gone to the Pionex site and found drivers for the monitor. How do we install the drivers once we download them. How do we then change the monitor to the Pionex model. Thanks for your help.

In the downloaded driver set, (assuming win98) there should be a .inf file. You can select “Have Disk” under the add hardware wizard, and direct it to this .inf file to install the hardware.

The best way to go about this is to put all downloaded files on a disk, and go from there. If they don’t all fit on a disk, put them all in the same directory. As you’re adding new hardware, and going through the list of monitors/manufacturers, click on ‘Have Disk’ and point it to the directory/disk your downloaded files are on.

      Hope this helps!

      Drk.
