      You can use the FileSystem object (part of the Scripting Library) to read and write text files. Jefferson Scher has posted an example in post 202750.

      If you can’t use this (in some environments, Windows Scripting is not available), you can also use the “old-fashioned” Basic statements for opening a file. In the online help for Access 97, look up the Open and Close instructions (not methods!), as well as the Input function and the Print and Write instructions.
