    I know there’s a setting for this, anyone care to refresh my memory? My modem is dialing pulse, i’d prefer Tone…

      Windows control panel > Modems > Dialing Properties > Tone

        ..if you like speed, get to the Extra Settings line for your modem and type in S11=50
