Mixing Brand of Routers and Network Cards

I have a DLINK network that worked pretty good up until a year later. I have a DI-784 router (11a/11g and 108Mbps) that went bad. I have two Network cards that specifically worked with it on two PCs (DFE-530TX and DWL-AG530 with 11/a 11/g and 108Mbps). I was thinking of getting a Netgear WGU624 router (11g and 108Mpbs). I think I should be able to use my DLINK network cards with this Netgear router but I wanted to ask the experts if that would work.

All 802.11g devices should work well together, and in my experience they usually do.

108Mbps is not a standard, and I have no idea whether any of the vendors have done what would be needed for reliable interoperability.

Hi Stuart. Wanted to thank you for your response. I ended up getting a Linksys N router. It worked real well on my Dlink adapter card (11.g). I haven’t installed the wireless card on my other PC yet but I would don’t anticipate any problem since it is also a Linksys N wireless card.
