    Hi:
I have been using Access for quite a while, but for some reason I am not able to use any of the wizard when i want to use it. I tried to use the wizard to build a “find Duplicates query” but when I press the “create query bu using wizard”, nothing happens. The wizard does not come up. Does anyone know why? and if u have experienced a smilar situation pls. guide me as to what needs be done . I enjoy this forum immensely and find it highly informative.
I have used the wizard previously to build queries so I wld like to know where it has decided to take a holiday. Help!!!!!!!!
    thks

Try running the Detect and Repair from the Access help menu. I ran into a similar problem with the find duplicates query wizard. In my case, it came up, but most of it wasn’t there. Detect and Repair fixed the installation and my wizards came back intact.

        Charlotte:

I did run the detect and repair.. it did not work.. the wizard is a goner in all features – tables, queries, reports .. the design feature works perfectly.. when i press the build new ** whatever* with wizard it just throws me a blank stare.

        thks for ur prompt reply

Then unless someone else can think of something, I’m afraid you may be in for a reinstall. You didn’t indicate if you had either of the service releases installed, but if you don’t, you might try that first before reinstalling. It sounds like one of the libraries or wizard add-ins got stepped on somehow.

Charlotte: I uninstalled and reinstalled office 2000. Not only that i installed the add wizards option again and still find myself not being able to use the wizard. If anyone has encountered this problem pls. let me know how i can get my query and otehr wizards bac for access 2000. Thks a million.
