After a hard drive crash I installed access 2000 again and got the message file not found vba6.dll every time i opened a database. I tried uninstall and re install with no luck.
does anyone know where i can find this DLL and what folder it goes in when i find it.
I’m running access 200 on ME
thanks

AskWoody LoungerMay 19, 2001 at 12:02 am #526708The error message is referencing the MS Office 97 library, not the VBA library. If you upgraded Office or if this is a new machine that never had 97 on it, you may not have this library any more. That one you can fix by changing the reference to the MS Office 9 library. The VBA6.dll is part of Visual Studio/Visual Source Safe. If you don’t need it for anything, just uncheck the reference.

AskWoody LoungerMay 19, 2001 at 7:16 pm #526765Thanks for your reply Charlotte
I tried removing the references

converted back to 2000 and now the database works just like it did before the crash
many thanks to you Charlotte and to you Rupert
your help is appreciated more than you could know i just wish i really knew what happened
i’m thinking something got corrupted in the database but don’t know for sure
