Due to privacy issues the only person that should give out Hans’ email address would be Hans himself. We cannot help you with this.

“Slinky has slunk away” what a sad way for a legend of the lounge to go. I would have liked to have thanked him more for all of the invaluable help and advice he has provided to me over the years

Tony of course is correct – it would be an invasion of his privacy to pass his email address around.

Howsomever, Hans did say he’ll be checking in periodically, so if he sees your thread (or the one I started in what is NOW called Lounge Matters) he might write a post or send a PM or mental telepathy you. Who knows… But I wouldn’t try any further to find him.

He might very well be ill as well..
I’m a member of another forum.. one of our guys that keeps all the virus protection ..
firewalls.. spy ware.. Jaca Script.. etc…updates to each program ..( there is a board for these.. called Updates )….he just dropped out.. one person knew someone in the country where he lives..
found out that he had a stroke..then another just disappeared we’ve not ever heard anything back..
It would of course leave one hanging out in space.. if you needed to get in contact..
I would suggest you/anyone of us… share that info..with a friend here.. so someone can get in contact with the group .. if you don’t show up… would like to be contacted by friends in the forum.
(there are times one cannot contact this group.. due to not being able to do so..
but would love to hear from the forum..friends )

I think that most of us here are confident that Hans is very much alive and well. Hans has decided take a break away from the lounge for a while, and it is only fair that we respect that decision, whatever his reasons. Hopefully as time passes, he might pop by and say Hello as he knows that he has many many friends here!

I still owe Hans, at least 16 beers for his invaluable help over the years in my ms access tuition… for good measure im happy to round it up to a case.

Am i right in thinking this board now requires payment after 6 months?

I will second the thanks and well wishes for Hans. Over the years my role has changed and along with it, the need to be as hands on as I needed to be in the past. I happened to have an Excel need and remembered this forum, looked up some of my old posts from back in 2001 and it reminded me how many jams Hans and others helped me work through. Hans, I for one would love to buy you a beer if I could and I hope that life is treating you well!!
